(Abilene, TX) – The Development Corporation of Abilene (DCOA), City of Abilene, and Taylor County are pleased to announce the approval of an amendment to the existing agreements with Houston, Texas-based Lancium.
Founded in 2017, Lancium is a leading energy technology and infrastructure company dedicated to accelerating the energy transition. Their Clean Campus locations like in Abilene, are strategically located, and designed to provide the lowest cost, greenest energy to best-in-class data centers, while prioritizing environmental responsibility, power grid stability, and community development.
Through this amendment, Lancium’s ongoing project will lead the way for further innovation and expanded job & investment opportunities. While the project is in the early stages of development, Lancium has provided a webpage for all employment and contractor inquiries at www.lancium.com/careers/abilene-tx-clean-campus.
In 2021, Lancium selected Abilene and Taylor County, Texas to be the home of Lancium’s flagship Clean Campus. Since breaking ground, Lancium has continued to fulfill its commitment to invest in Abilene and Taylor County, Texas by investing capital to develop the land and electrical substation for the campus.
The DCOA, City of Abilene, and Taylor County look forward to continuing the long-term partnership with Lancium.
